Private Bookmark is designed to keep your bookmark library on your device. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Information stored by the app

Bookmark names, URLs, preferences, and recent search terms are stored locally on your device. When private browsing is enabled for a bookmark, website cookies for that bookmark may also be stored locally so its session can continue between visits.

Accounts and developer data collection

Private Bookmark does not require an account. The app does not operate a developer-owned server for your bookmark library.

Websites and search providers

When you open a website or perform a search, your device communicates directly with that website or selected search provider. Those third parties may collect information according to their own privacy policies. Private Bookmark does not control their practices.

Third-party services

The app may request website icons from an external favicon service and supports searches through Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and Brave. Using these features sends the relevant website domain or search query to the selected provider.

Biometric authentication

Face ID, Touch ID, or device authentication may be used to reveal hidden bookmarks. Authentication is handled by iOS; the app does not receive or store your biometric data.

Deleting your information

You can delete bookmarks and recent search terms from within the app. Removing the app from your device also removes its locally stored data, subject to the behavior of your device backups.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the app changes. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised date.
